So many good looking white cars lately

Why? What has changed? It is the shade of white, composition of the paint itself or the design of the cars today complement the color?

White used to be for fleet cars and people who found beige too over stimulating. Now it one of the best colors on certain high end cars.

Cars became appliances, so now they look good in white.

I drove through northwestern Colorado the other day, rifle to meeker to dinosaur, and I swear that almost every truck on the road was a white ford with the same bull bar. All for hours of driving. This might be relevant but I give no guarantees.

I think it's because white is the color that shows flaws more than any other, and there really isn't a car that is poorly made anymore.

In the 90's white was associated with cleanliness. Sparkling kitchens and bathrooms.

In the early 00's, white was widely recognized as the trendy iPod color.

By 2008, hipsters were wearing white shades, belts, etc.

Around the same time period, "Stormtroopering" your car was all the rage.

Now it's 2013. Black and dark greys seem to be back. Or never went away.
